DigitDuel is a 2-player online number guessing game available on Android. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

By using DigitDuel, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Account information:

• Username (chosen by you)
• Email address (Google Sign-in users only)
• Firebase UID (a random identifier assigned to every account)

Game data:

• Game results (wins, losses, draws)
• Number of rounds played per game
• Average rounds to solve
• Duel IQ score
• Recent match history (last 5 results)

Device information (collected automatically by Firebase):

• Device type and model
• Operating system version
• App version

Usage data:

• App sessions and feature usage (via Firebase Analytics)

We do NOT collect:

• Your real name
• Phone number
• Location or GPS data
• Payment or financial information
• Contacts or address book

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your game account
• Display your stats, win rate, and Duel IQ score
• Match you with opponents in matchmaking
• Maintain your game history and progress
• Improve the app, fix bugs, and develop new features

We do NOT:

• Sell your data to third parties
• Use your data for advertising
• Share your data with any party outside of the services listed below

4. Guest Accounts

If you choose to play as a guest:

• No email address is collected
• Your account is stored under a randomly generated Firebase UID
• You choose a username at the start
• Your game data (stats, Duel IQ) is saved under your guest UID
• Guest data may be lost if the app is uninstalled and cannot be recovered
• You can upgrade to a Google account at any time to preserve your stats — your wins, losses, and draws will be merged into your Google account

6. Data Retention

• Your account data is kept as long as your account is active
• You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at nosami.dev.21@gmail.com
• Guest accounts that have been inactive for 12 months or more may be automatically deleted
• After account deletion, your data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days

7. Children's Privacy

DigitDuel is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at nosami.dev.21@gmail.com and we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data: View your stats and game history in the Profile screen at any time
• Update your username: Available in the Profile screen and Home screen settings
• Delete your account: You can delete your account and all associated data directly from the Profile screen under 'Delete My Account', or contact privacy@digitduel.gg for assistance.
• Withdraw consent: You may stop using the app and request deletion of your data at any time

9. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information:

• All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections
• Firebase security rules restrict access so users can only read and write their own data
• Secret numbers in active games are never exposed to the opposing player's device

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify users through the app.

Your continued use of DigitDuel after any changes to this policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
